Ada L. Hazlett

Ada L. Hazlett, 102 of DeLand passed away at her daughter's home in DeLand. She was born on December 3, 1915 in DeLand and was a lifetime resident. Ada was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church for many years and on her 100th birthday she joined the New Covenant Baptist Church. Ada was also a member of the Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, especially violets, sewing and needle work. She was predeceased by her husband Curry L. Hazlett. Survivors include her daughters Judy Sarten of Murphy, NC and June Williamson of DeLand; grandchildren John Grooms, Corrie Hanson, Michael Grooms, Leanne Hamblin, Ken Somerford and Laurie Pry and great-grandchildren Rayan Hanson, Rachelle Hanson, Jessica Pry, Samantha Pry and Matthew Pry. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 21st at 11am at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert Mulkey officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11am prior to the service.
