Edna Welch Obituary

Edna Mae Welch, 81 of DeLand, passed away June 27, 2017 at her home. She was born in Decatur, Alabama on April 14, 1936 and was retired as an inspector at Sherwood Medical. Edna was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in DeLeon Springs and she enjoyed fishing and reading and doing cross stich. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene and daughters Theresa Welch and Linda McLane. Survivors include sons Richard Harris of DeLand, Charles Roach of DeLand, Richard Welch of Champagne, NY and Steven Welch of DeLeon Springs; daughters Darlene Johnson of Ohio, Karen Kremer of DeLand and Pamela Fretwell of Outer Banks, NC; sisters Ann Poley of DeLand, Carolyn Brown of Panama City, Rosemary Olsen of DeLand and Sharon Peterson of DeLand; 17 grandchildren and 23 Great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30th from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1st at 10am at Church of God of Prophecy in DeLeon Springs. Burial will follow at Pinehurst Cemetery in DeLeon Springs.
