Janis Bryson Waldrop

Janis Bryson Waldrop (nee' Mary Janis Bryson) joined her beloved husband William Waldrop on August 30, 2017. She passed peacefully, in the company of loved ones. Janis was born in Baltimore, only daughter of Joseph L. and Bertha Bryson (both deceased) and sister to Roy Bryson, a resident of Venice, Florida. Janis was an early devotee of the bounty offered by the waters of the Middle River and the Chesapeake and retained a life-long appreciation for Maryland steamed crabs. She married and raised four children (Mark, Jay, Suzanne and Jon), primarily raised in Green Hills, OH. She divorced and moved to Florida in 1978, and worked as a medical billing specialist. She met and fell in love with Bill, and they married in 1996. During their shared retirement, Janis and Bill together enjoyed travel, friends and family. Janis was an avid quilter and longtime member of FFabs; her works of love will be treasured as family heirlooms for generations. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at Allen-Summerhill Funeral home 126 East New York Ave Deland, FL 32724, on October 21,2017, starting at 10am.
