Marilyn Daugharty Mew
Marilyn was born March 5, 1934 in DeLand, FL, she departed this earth on January 29, 2018. Marilyn was a teacher's aide at Seville Public Elementary for many years until her retirement. She loved gardening, reading and animals. Marilyn was a long time member of First Baptist Church Seville, where she was an active member. She loved her family, leaving behind children George Ann Allen Braden, Clay Mew, Frances Mew Yarborough, Lance Mew, Amy Mew Minger and their spouses. She had many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, William George Allen and her husband of 47 years, James Corbett Mew. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31st from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1st at 11am at First Baptist Church in Seville. Burial will follow at Seville Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.allen-summerhill.com.
