Phyllis K. Steward, 92, of Deltona, FL moved peacefully to her heavenly home on June 23, 2017. Phyllis was born on September 6, 1942 in Harwich, Massachusetts. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Robert Steward; her daughter, Susanne Hemphill; grandchildren Timothy Steward, April Chabot, Joel Hemphill and great-grandchildren Brendyn Chabot and Aria Hemphill. She dedicated her life to God at the age of 12 years, and spent her life serving Him and others. She graduated from Zion Bible Institute and worked with children and in churches until her marriage in 1951. At that time she traveled with her husband doing evangelistic work until they began pastoring churches. She sang, played the piano and accordion and worked in various ministries in the churches they pastored. She faithfully served her God, her husband and family and others. At 64 years old she retired with her husband and moved to Florida. She was a strong woman of faith who was the heart of her family. She is severely missed by her family and will be loved forever. Arrangements are with the Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand, FL. The viewing will be at noon on June 28 with the funeral following at 1pm at Trinity Assembly, 875 Elkcam Blvd. Deltona, FL.
