Thomas "Almond" Foskey, 92 of DeLand passed away December 31, 2017 at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler care center in Orange City. He was born in Soperton, Georgia on October 12, 1925 and served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Almond worked for Coca Cola for 16 years before his injury. He enjoyed listening to country and gospel music, watching old western movies and traveling. He is survived by his daughters Loraine (Hoppi) Price of Bunnell and Wanda (Jesse) Akins of Orange City, sister Mary Alice Board of DeLand, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 11am at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand, with Rev. Howard Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Purdom Cemetery in Barberville.
