Jeanette (Cauley) Preston

Jeanette C. Preston 1929-2024
On March 4, 2024, our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother was carried gently into the arms of Jesus. We celebrate her overwhelming joy of life and know that she is in the presence of our Lord. Mom is now reunited with our dad, James, as well as many friends and family.
Born in Columbus, Ga to LeRoy and Hazel Cauley. 
Predeceased by her Husband of 50 years James R Preston.
And predeceased by her Husband of 5 years Randolph Copeland
She attended Georgia State College for Women 1946-1948
Moved to Ft Lauderdale in 1957 and then to DeLand in 1991
She was a member of the DeLand Garden Club, 1st Presbyterian Church of DeLand and Chapter BF P.E.O.
She volunteered for many church events cooking meals and was a hospital volunteer.
She dearly loved her family and is survived by her Son, Steven Preston (Susan) and her
Daughter Cindy Newton, Grandchildren, Stephanie Jacobi (Alex), Staci Newton (Scott) Patrick
Newton, Bradley Preston, Ashley Rock ( Jovani) and Connor Preston.
Four Great-grandchildren, Luke, Carson, Savannah and Scarlett.
Interment will be private. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of DeLand on March 22nd at 4:00 PM.
The family would like to thank her many friends, church home and the staff at Village on the Green in Longwood, where she spent her final days.
In Lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of DeLand in her honor.
