Ada Lee Miner passed away on October 18, 2017 peacefully at Halifax Hospice Center into the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born in Johnsonville, SC and moved to FL in 1961 and raised her family of four.
Lee was a very talented woman. She was a great cook, famous for her chicken and dumplings. She learned to oil paint in later life. Lee enjoyed studying her Bible and she lived and shared her faith with everyone she met. She was also a great seamstress.
She became a CNA and was so proud to say she worked for Dr. Mohan Sharma.
She is survived by daughter Sandy Moye, son John Dale McElveen, son Joel (Julianna) McElveen, daughter Dee Case; grandchildren Sherrie Broadway Rendon (Coy), Allen Case, Jennifer Smith (Shane), Crystal Jackson (Otis), Kelly Case and five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her late husband, James Miners family, children and grandchildren in Ohio.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11th at 2pm at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand. Pastor Thom White will be officiating. Visitation will be at 1:30pm prior to service. Online condolences made be made at
