He will be missed by his son Julian (JoAnn) McInnis of DeLand, Florida; daughter Racheal McInnis of St. Augustine, Florida; grandsons Ryan Flannery of St. Augustine, Florida and Jason McInnis of DeLand, Florida; great-granddaughter Evelyn McInnis of DeLand, Florida; brother William (Joyce) McInnis of Columbia, South Carolina; sister Barbara McInnis Vu of Deleon Springs, Florida; sisters- in-law Betty McInnis of Palatka, Florida; Ruth Cox of Sebring, Florida; Rosalyn Groves of Milan, Georgia; many nieces and nephews; beloved friends Larry and Regina Henderson of St. Augustine, Florida; and his nurse Sarah Hill from Community Hospice.

Cliff was born to Archibald "Archie" Clifford McInnis Sr. and Louise Scaffe McInnis on October 26, 1924 in DeLeon Springs, FL. His love of music started at a young age. After finding part of a clarinet in his yard, he was inspired to learn the clarinet. He soon became a member of the DeLand High School band called The Pups. In 1942, he graduated from high school into a world of war and voluntarily joined the Navy as a musician aboard the U.S.S. North Carolina. He steamed across the Pacific Ocean and was at anchor in Tokyo Bay when the Japanese Instrument of Surrender was signed in 1945. Returning home after the war, he attended Stetson University and earned a master's degree in Chemistry. He obtained a job as a chemist at Container Corporation of America in Fernandina Beach, Florida where he worked for 35 years. Following his retirement, he returned to Deleon Springs, Florida. He was a member of First Baptist Church of DeLeon Springs and a faithful musician in the Earl Brown Dance Band in Deland, Florida for many years.

Known as a quiet, humble, soft-spoken man, Cliff was consistent in his walk with the Lord. Throughout his life, he was generous with all that God had given to him. Today, his family and friends find comfort in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
