Augustino John Pinnataro passed away on August 29, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born March 14, 1928 in Buffalo, NY. John was a newspaper pressman for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Boston Herald and Newsday. John Served in the US Navy from 1950-1954 during the Korean War. He served on the USS New Jersey as quartermaster and the ship's bugler. He enjoyed playing his trumpet and coronet in a dance band here in Florida and in New Hampshire. He was an active member in the 2nd Florida Volunteers Civil War reenacting group. He is survived by his wife Cena; children Marla Pinnataro, Dawn Pinnataro, Paula Foss and husband Clyde Foss, A.J. Pinnataro, II and wife Bernadette Pinnataro; grandchildren Randy Taresevich and wife Rony Teresevich, Carl McCarthy and wife Melissa McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, Hannah McCarthy-Bailey and husband Trevor Bailey; step-grandchildren Jeremy Munnings and Amanda Bertrand and former son-in-law Joseph McCarthy. John will be cremated and interred at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, GA. Memorial services to be held at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in Orange City, FL on Saturday, September 1st at 11am. The family will receive friends from 10-10:30am prior to the service.
