B. Paulsen Obituary
It is with great pain and sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother and Mom-Mom, B. Shirley Paulsen of DeLand, FL. She passed unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville, FL. Shirley was the wife of Raymond Earl Paulsen, her loving husband for 22 blessed years.
Born October 10, 1937 in Glasgow, KY, she was the daughter of the late Fay Younger Simmons and Ollie Elizabeth (Gentry) Simmons.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her son Steve Cascio and Colette, son Rick and Barbara Paulsen, daughter Tammy K. (Cascio) and Mark Misener, daughter P. Dawn (Cascio) Latimer , 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was extremely proud of each of them, they loved her and will surely miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, 10 a.m. Immediately following Service will be at 11 a.m. All will be held at Allen Summerhill Funeral Home, 126 E. New York Avenue, DeLand, FL. Interment will be private.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, monetary memorials to be sent to: Leukemia & Lymphoma Association, P.O. Box 22324, New York, New York 10087 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Both were Shirley's favorite Associations.
