Carol Barnhart Obituary

Carol Wessman Carlisle Barnhart was born November 18, 1928 and died October 22, 2018. She lived in Pierson all her life and was an active member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, served on the church council, and was secretary of the Lutheran Church Women. Carol was employed by Volusia County School Food Services for twenty-three years. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Tobin of South Daytona and Celeste Taylor (son-in-law Richard Taylor) of Palm Coast; grandchildren Phillip Tobin, Erin Flanary, Jarrod Welsh and Carli Welsh; great grandchildren Corbin Flanary, Kellan Flanary and Aidan Addison. Carol was preceeded in death by her husband Roy (Bud) Barnhart in 1993. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30th at 2pm at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Pierson, with a visitation from 1-2pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Florida 32129.
