Darryl Lee Eckhoff

Darryl Lee Eckhoff, age 81 of DeLeon Springs, Florida passed away December 14, 2019 at Brookdale ALF in DeLand, Florida. He was born on April 19, 1938 at home in a farm house south of Knob Noster, Missouri to Elmer L. and Opal M. Eckhoff. He was the second of four sons. He served four years in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps, serving three years in France. He earned a B.S. Degree from Drury College, Springfield, Missouri, majoring in criminal justice. He joined the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 1965 and retired in 1995 at the rank of Sergeant after thirty years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years Marlein and two brothers Dean and Olen. He is survived by one brother, Jimmie of Sedalia, MO and two widowed sisters-in-law, Louanna and Linda, as well as nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted by Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home of DeLand on Thursday, December 19th at 10am at Oakdale Cemetery in DeLand, Florida, where he will be laid to rest next to wife Marlein.
