Donnie E. Meyers, age 83 passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 as a result of a tragic accident in front of his home. He was born on April 3, 1935 in White, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Orange City and DeLand for over 65 years. He was a retired Production Manager for Exhibit Builders, Inc. in DeLand and a 50 year member of St. John's #37 F&AM. He graduated from Scotdale High School-Class of 1952 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange City and served in the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his parents, Clayton J. and Milla M. Meyers, twin sisters, Sara Jane and Mary Rene, sister Leona, brothers, Sgt Everett W. Meyers (Ret.), Dayton, and Navy Meyers. He is survived by his sister, June E. Meyers of DeLand and Brother C. M. Meyers of Indian Head, PA and Fiji, their faithful companion. Also surviving are sisters in law, Ann, Vera and Betty Meyers, nieces and Nephews, Barbara, Barry, Cathy, Christine, Donnie, Eugene, Jeanne, Nevin, Robin, and Sharon and a host of friends. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 17th from 6-8pm at the Allen-Summerhill DeLand Chapel with funeral services on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 975 East Graves Avenue, Orange City with interment to follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens.
