Ella Simms Obituary
Ella Fay Simms, 77 of Lake Helen passed away November 13, 2021 at AdventHealth DeLand. She was born in Emlyn, Kentucky on August 24, 1944 and moved to the area in 1979 from Elkton, Maryland.
Fay was the longtime co-owner of Sunrise Fishing Club and she enjoyed shopping and watching classic movies. She is survived by son Richard Poore (Michelle) of Lake Mary; daughters Ronda Sylvia (Tom) of DeLand and Nancy Simms (John) of Lake Helen; step-sons Matthew Simms (Mindy) of Deltona, Roy Simms (Lorie) of Melbourne and Joey Simms (Dianna) of Emporia, VA; step-daughter Roianna Miller (Dean) of Deltona; brother Roy Griffith of Kingston, TN; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20th at 10am at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand with burial following at Lake Helen-Cassadaga Cemetery.
