Elsie Marie Gariano

Elsie Marie Gariano, 89 of DeLand passed away June 18, 2017 at Florida Hospital DeLand. She was born on July 17, 1927 in Guttenberg, NJ. Elsie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in DeLand and the VFW Post 8093 Women's Auxiliary in DeBary. She loved to travel and enjoyed reading and sewing. She loved raising her children and was a Girl Scout leader. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Edward; daughters Janet Ricks of Galena, OH, Linda Head of Worchester, NY and Sharon Graves of Veradale, WA; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and nephew Dr. James Taylor. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 22nd from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 23rd at 10am at St. Peter Catholic Church in DeLand. Interment will follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens.
