Frederick "Fred" "Freddy" Cone, 60, followed the path God laid for him on February 28, 2021.
Fred was a master carpenter by trade who was born on March 12, 1960 in Gainesville, Georgia to Frederick Cone and Anna Muëller. Fred moved around with his family growing up and has lived in numerous states acquiring many skills and friends along the way. Fred was an athlete beginning with playing football in high school, avid bowler, tennis player and loved to golf. Fred was introduced by mutual friends to Rebecca in Conway, a suburb of Orlando, in December 1989 on a blind double-date and the rest was history. Fred and Rebecca eventually landed in Deland, FL at his house of over 32 years on the St. Johns River enjoying their life while boating, driving his Excursion recklessly back and forth from Deland to Orlando, singing loudly while mowing the yard, and showing off his 1978 Jeep CJ-7 topless to the beach. Fred was a generous, hard working, loving man who would pull people together, gave anyone the shirt off of his back, and will be greatly missed. You could always hear him singing a tune or whistling throughout the day and he always kept a positive attitude while walking with God forever in his heart.
Fred is survived by his wife of 25 years Rebecca, Deland, FL; siblings
Jim Cone, Cleveland, GA
Helen Adamthwaite, Orlando, FL
Shirley Hodges, Flat Rock, NC
Michelle Puckett, Deland, FL
Chris Cone, Gainesville, GA.
