Hestel Canfield Obituary

Hestel O. Canfield, 94 of Sanford passed away October 7, 2020 at Atria Park of Lake Forest. He was born in Montrose, WV on July 24, 1926. Hestel entered the United States Army in 1944 and served until retiring as a Sergeant Major in 1977. He was past master of St. Johns Lodge F&AM #37 in DeLand, and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star #16, also in DeLand. He was predeceased by his first wife Louise and their daughter Mona Kay Hawkinberry. Survivors include his wife Lyndall; sons Charles Canfield (Nina) and Garry Canfield; brothers Chester Canfield and Harry Canfield (Penny); sister Judy Smith (Carl); 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 10am at DeLand Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.allensummerhill.com.
