JEANNE KATREK OBITUARY
Jeanne Catherine Katrek, 64, passed away on June 11, 2012 at her residence after struggling with Multiple Systems Atrophy (MSA) for over 5 years. She was born on March 7, 1948 in Passaic, New Jersey and moved to DeLand in 2009 from Miramar, FL. Jeanne was a flight attendant for National Airlines and then PanAm Airlines for 20 years. She was retired for 20 years. She loved traveling, art and music and her cats. She liked to sculpt and paint, she played the harmonica and keyboard and loved to sing the blues. Jeanne was an avid collector of unique items. She is survived by her mother Hadi Katrek of DeLand; brothers John Katrek and wife Margaret of White, GA, Ron Katrek of Lake County, FL and sister Lynda Katrek and husband Skip Bassett of DeBary, FL. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14th from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 15th at 2:30pm at DeLand Memorial Gardens.
