Karl Fieser Obituary
Karl Duane Fieser was born on August 1, 1960, in Deland, Florida and went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Cherishing his memory are his devoted and loving wife, Jeanne and son Johnathon of DeLeon Springs; brother Gerald (Debbie) Fieser of Deland; sister Susan (Steve) Woodard of Deland; and lifelong friend Mike (Ann) Hunter of Deleon Springs. He was the "fun" uncle to many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many cousins, who are as close as brothers and sisters.
As a boy, Karl enjoyed sports of all kinds, playing and working at the family dairy farm. He was brought up with good traditional values and attended church with his family. After graduating from Taylor High School, he went on to study Dairy Agriculture at the University of Florida. After college, he began his career at the Fieser Dairy and spent nearly 40 years working alongside his mother Mary Jane; father Ralph; brother Gerald, and nephew / Partner-in-Crime, DJ Fieser.
In 2000, he met the love of his life, Jeanne Finlayson. They married in 2001 and Karl, Jeanne, and Johnathon formed a family. Karl and Jeanne fully dedicated their lives to the Lord and Karl served God through his leadership, committee and volunteer work at Deland United Methodist Church. He brought many young people closer to God through his mentorship. Both at work and at church, Karl changed the lives of everyone who came to know him. Karl was known for his hospitality, humor, kindness and his willingness to make himself available to others with guidance in their lives.
After being diagnosed with cancer, Karl never gave up and continued to battle for God, his family and friends.
Visitation and services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Deland, 115 E Howry Ave, Deland Florida, 32724 on Friday January 7, 2022. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM. Services will be at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of DeLand Youth and Young Adult Fund.
