Leslie Stovka Obituary
Leslie John Stovka "Les" passed away peacefully on August 19, 2021 at Halifax Health Hospice in Orange City.
Les was born April 26, 1943 in Rochester, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Aliquippa High School and Penn State University. He then served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.
Les was the Dietary Director at West Volusia Memorial Hospital (now AdventHealth) until his retirement. He was a life member of the DeLand Elks Club.
Les was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carol Stovka of DeLand; son Ryan Stovka (Sandra) of Delray Beach; daughter Kristin Shaughnessy (Michael) of New Smyrna Beach, and son Greg Stovka (Wanna) of DeLand; grandchildren Kaya Schultz, Colin Shaughnessy, Connor Shaughnessy, Katelin Stovka, and Kai Stovka; brothers Tom Stovka (Janice) and Gerald Stovka (Michelle), both of Pennsylvania.
There will be a Memorial Service at the First Presbyterian Church of DeLand, followed by interment in the Memory Garden.
