Lynn Via

Lynn Via, 74 of DeLand passed away January 20, 2022 at the Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Care Center in Orange City. He was born July 3, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee and served with the United States National Guard. Lynn earned his Master's in Agriculture from the University of Florida and was a retired agriculture teacher at DeLand Senior High School. He was a member of Stetson Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley; son Jeff Via (Emily) of Williston, TN, daughter Stacye Bottoms (Ron) of Ormond Beach; brother Ross Gene Via (Catherine) of Bells, TN and grandchildren Penn Via and Ronnie Bottoms. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25th at 11am at Stetson Baptist Church in DeLand, with visitation from 10-11am prior to the serviced.
