Margaret Guiltner Obituary

Margaret Hope Dunn Bradshaw Guiltner, 69, of Deland, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, May 22, 2017.
She was born September 26, 1947, at Bluefield Sanitarium in Bluefield, WV. Margaret was the daughter of the late Robert "Earl" Dunn and Bernice Helen Dunn.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Amos Bradshaw; second husband George Guiltner; Sister, Sue Richardson; Brother, Bob Dunn; and sister, Carol Fraser.
Margaret is survived by her children: Gary Bradshaw (Donna) of Check, VA; Earl Bradshaw (Kim) of Indian Trail, NC; Carol (Tom) Steffey of Lebanon, VA; Turiena (Phil) Cardaci of Indian Trail, NC. Grandchildren: Molly Bradshaw, Adam Bradshaw, Grace Bradshaw, David Cardaci, Cary Steffey, TJ Steffey, and Sarah Cardaci. Two great grandchildren: Austin Steffey and Jacobi Warren. She is also survived by one brother, Darryl Dunn (Suzie), and one sister Jimmy Sargent.
Margaret graduated from Rocky Gap High school. She married Amos Bradshaw at a young age and gave birth to Gary. Margaret and Amos moved to Michigan following his time in Vietnam. During their stay in Michigan she gave birth to her second son, Earl. Margaret showed amazing courage and strength following Amos' sudden death. She decided that she was going to live for her boys! She had an adventurous spirit and was willing to take chances. Friends introduced her to George Guiltner who became her life partner until he passed in 2009.
Margaret loved being "grandma", she always made each one feel extra special. Margaret also chose to see the best in people and wanted to help however she could, she was a loyal friend to many. The family would like to express a heartfelt "thank you" to Jim and Patty Bernard; and BJ McClung. Also to her neighbors and church family who loved, cared, and encouraged her over the years.
Margaret had a strong faith and trust in Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of First UMC in Deland, FL. She enjoyed being involved in the life of the church in many ways, but her passion was for the homeless ministry, Mercy Hour. She felt that she was called by God to love and encourage people, which she did without judging them.
Margaret worked as a beautician, seamstress, and long distant truck driver. For many years Margaret ran a beauty shop from her basement while living in Ecorse, MI. After moving back to Virginia, she worked in the local factory as a seamstress until she went to truck driving school. Along with George, she traveled the nation taking great pride in delivering furniture, produce, and dialysis fluid. As a career move, they accepted a position in Deland Fl, where they lived until their death. In retirement, she enjoyed being part of the Elvis fan club and was an active member of Eastern Star.
