Melanie was called home on October 21, 2018 in Deland, FL. She was born October 5, 1963 in DeLand, FL to Cornelius "Corny" and Edith "Dede" mines. She graduated high school early from Daytona State College formerly known as "DBCC". She worked for Volusia County for 27 years as a property appraiser. She is preceded by her mother Edith "Dede" Mines. She is survived by her father Cornelius "Corny" Mines; brothers Richard Mines (Denise) of Deltona, Mike Mines (Janet) of Samsula; daughters Heather DeChiara (Jonathan), Tiffany Taft (Matthew); and grandchildren Ryan, Ashton, Dylan, Natalie, Lily, and Chloe. The family will hold a private-immediate family only service on a later date at The Oakdale Cemetery. She will be forever missed by her loved ones.
