Pauline Brandt Obituary

Brandt, Pauline See- Paunny Brandt, 75, died peacefully January 4, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Marshfield, WI on February 10, 1937. One of eight children, she enjoyed her childhood on her family's farm. She graduated from Columbus High School and moved to DeLand in 1963 where she was an active community participant up until her death. She was the successful owner of Paunny Brandt Realty and a devoted member of St. Peter Church where she served in many ministries through the years. Paunny had a life-long passion for the arts, and as a member of the Stetson Choral Union, she performed in New York and China. She also acted in and directed many plays as a member of Shoestring and Sands Theaters. She relished time with her friends through book club, card club, small group, and travel. Paunny's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Her strength, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her parents, Philip and Josephine See; her brother Philip See Jr.; and her sisters Mary Jo Dix and Joanne Ertle. She is survived by her daughters Lori Wickham (Randy) and Mary Jo Thompson (Ed); grandchildren Austin, Katie, and Lindsey; Donny, Andrew, Beth, and Patrick. She is also survived by her sisters Trudy Gripentrog, Cassie Fennig (Ted), and Barbara See; and her brother John See. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Friday, January 11 at St. Peter Church, DeLand followed by a reception at Grant Bly House in DeLand.
