Roy Deen Peacock

Roy Deen Peacock, 84 formerly of Pierson, passed away September 23, 2017 in Jacksonville. He was born in Alma, Georgia on June 7, 1933 and was retired from the United States Navy. Roy attended the Church of God in Pierson and was a member of the VFW and Retired Military Officers Association. He was predeceased by his wife, Sadako C. Peacock and son Roy D. Peacock. Survivors include son Donald T. Peacock of Edgewater, FL; daughters Kathy E. Durrant of Jacksonville, FL and Diana M. Grissom of DeLand; brothers F.H. Peacock of Port Orange, FL, Norman Peacock of Port Orange, FL and W.H. Peacock of Florahome, FL; sister Brenda J. Crosby of Palm Coast, FL; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27th from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 28th at 10am at Pierson United Methodist Cemetery, with Reverend Gary Roberts officiating.
