Samuel Earnest Blymire

Samuel Earnest Blymire, 88, of DeLand, FL, went to be with our Lord and Savior at home on Friday, November 2, surrounded by his wife and family. Sam was born August 2, 1930 in Stoney Brook, PA. He moved his family to DeLand, FL in 1959 where he was a prominent residential homebuilder. Sam is survived by his wife of 70 years, Adalene, his three sons, Gary (Kay), Brian (Lorraine), and Scott (Kristi); and his three daughters, Marilyn (Frank), Kim (Mark) and Melissa, (JR); 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. The celebration of his life will begin with a viewing at Allen Summerhill Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 6, from 5 -7 p.m. and a service Wednesday, November 7, at 11:00 a.m., with an interment to follow at Memorial Gardens in DeLand. Our dad will always be remembered as an amazing husband, father and role model to our family.
