Please join us to celebrate the life of Virginia Bradford, loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. Virginia peacefully departed our lives at the age of 98, on Friday, October 15th. Born Virginia Ertel, in 1912, in Loveland, Ohio, she moved with her family to make their home in Orlando in 1918. Her loving husband Brad, and son Harry, predeceased her. Her son, Bruce Bradford and wife Susan; granddaughter Amanda Cortright and husband Lawrence survive her. She shall be lovingly remembered by all her favorite neighbors and friends. For over 70 years Virginia dedicated her life to her family, friends and our community. She was instrumental in the founding of the Pinkie Resale Shop for the Florida Hospital DeLand Auxiliary, serving as a volunteer for over 25 years; devoted herself to volunteer work at the Gillespie Museum of Minerals at Stetson University for 30 years; was a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Immanuel Presbyterian Church in DeLand. A testament to Virginia's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 22, at the Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home - DeLand Chapel.
