Pamela R. Crosby

Pamela ‘Pam” R. Crosby, 71, of DeLand, Florida, passed away peacefully Friday, August 5th, 2022, after a courageous battle with end-stage renal disease, with family by her side. Her battle with serious medical conditions throughout the years showed her courage in facing life's challenges with a smile.

Pam, an Ohioan, was born and raised in Dayton and later lived in Columbus. However, she found her true home when she and her husband, Bob, moved to Florida 30 years ago. She particularly loved and referred to the area around New Smyrna Beach and Ponce Inlet as her "paradise."

Those close to Pam know that, besides her love of the beach, she was an animal lover and loved shopping at Bealls Outlet, especially on senior discount day. So when in Florida, I encourage you to shop at Bealls Outlet to help make up for the loss of revenue in memory of our beloved Pam.

Pam was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harry and Cynthia Grace Prose; maternal grandparents, Carl Jacob and Eula Knoche; parents, Harry and Ruth Prose.

She is survived by her loving husband and partner in life of 42 years, Robert "Bob" Crosby; daughters, Melissa Stevens and Christina Stevens (Sean Rosberg); stepchildren, Eric Crosby (Sheila) and Cindy Crosby; grandchildren, Kayla, Kendall, Anthony, Corbin, Anna, Ella, Celina, and Chase; sisters, Sheila Houston (Roger) and Sharon Sprowl; several special cousins and nephews.

Please join us in celebrating her life Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Allen Summerhill Funeral Home, 126 E New York Ave, DeLand, FL 32724.
